Key Responsibilities:

· Invoice Preparation

• Create and issue accurate invoices to customers for goods sold or services rendered.

• Ensure that all necessary details such as customer information, service or product descriptions, quantities, and pricing are correctly captured on the invoices.

• Obtain and verify purchase order (PO) numbers from customers, if applicable, and include them in the invoice to facilitate easy reference and expedite payment processing.

· Customer Communication

• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding their account status and outstanding invoices.

• Send timely reminders via email or phone to customers regarding upcoming, due, or overdue payments to ensure prompt settlement of accounts.

· Payment Follow-Up

• Actively follow up with customers on outstanding payments, utilizing a systematic approach for reminders at set intervals (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly).

• Keep detailed records of all communication with customers regarding invoice queries and payment commitments.

· Record Keeping and Reporting

• Update and maintain accurate records of all invoiced amounts, received payments, and outstanding balances.

• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status for management, highlighting any overdue accounts and actions taken.

· Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP

· Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities

· Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

· Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts

· Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts

· Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances

· Ensure compliance with SOX regulations

· Assist with tax preparation and filing

· Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes

· Perform accrual accounting and maintain accurate records

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

· Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role

· Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards

· Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements

· Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,455.61 - $63,172.35 per year
